Robert Millar

Founder, Host, Executive Producer

I traded boardrooms for borders and set out to explore the world in pursuit of experiences that become lifelong stories. Growing up in a radio and media family, storytelling was part of my life long before my business career — from early work in commercials to time behind the microphone as a DJ.

After more than two decades as a Fortune 100 finance executive, I founded Jets & Jellyfish, a travel project focused on high-comfort adventure, immersive cultural experiences, wildlife encounters, conservation, and rare-access moments around the world.

Across more than 70 adventures — including a recent year spent deeply immersed in Africa, Antarctica, and South America — I’ve learned that meaningful travel isn’t measured by how many places you visit, but by how deeply you experience them.

My philosophy is simple: the best journeys come from access: connecting with people, understanding history, and pursuing the moments that reveal what makes a destination truly unique.

Jets & Jellyfish shares these adventures through personal storytelling, destination insight, and conversations with the guides, conservationists, historians, and local experts who bring these places to life.

Amber Billingsley

Founder, Co-Host, Creative Director

When we began our journey, I had never left the southeastern United States and was terrified to step away from my career and comfort. Taking that leap transformed how I see the world—and myself.

As co-host of Jets & Jellyfish, I approach every destination with curiosity, courage, and a desire to understand the people, wildlife, and cultures that make each place unique. I love extraordinary adventures—from diving below the surface to meeting incredible animals—but it’s the conversations and perspectives of the people I meet that stay with me longest.

Growth happens outside our comfort zones, and the experiences that changed me began with a simple yes. With Robert and Executive Producer Eli M., we share stories that inspire deeper exploration, meaningful connection, and the possibilities that come from venturing beyond the familiar. We don’t count countries—we count experiences. I also keep an unofficial tally of baby animals I’ve held (always ethically)—the total is never high enough, and I’ll never say no to a puppy kiss.
